Yesterday December 3, 2009 Jason went to MEPS in Boise, Idaho. He took the ASVAB test and scored an 83 and then he took the DLAB test for his job. He scored a 109. He needed a 105 to pass so he could get that job. His job is an Electrical warfare signal intelligence recruit. He is so excited to start. His ship date is May 24,2010 and then off to Missouri for 9 1/2 weeks. Then he goes to California for 53 weeks to learn another language for his job. Good think I get to go with him on that one. Yesterday was an exciting day for this little family and oh boy were we exhausted when we got home from Boise last night! Thanks for all the support out there we love you all so much!

More pictures of Roo

Mommy cut Jonathans hair for the first time because it was so long! it looks much better!

Our family update!

Its been awhile and I know I need to get on here more so everyone can look at pictures of Jonathan! Here is an update... we were in Red Bluff, California for the summer and got back the 1st of August. We lived in Rupert with Jason's family until we finally had money to move out. Jason is working for Lowes and is enjoying it. He is also going to school and has one more semester and then he gets his associates in cab. and woodworking. I am going to school as well and should be done at CSI in May. We are looking into other school and trying to figure out where we want to go and what we want to do. Any state or town is an option now and we are going to look into it more after Christmas. For now we are in Twin Falls and going to CSI. Jonathan just turned 7 months old on Sunday and he is getting so big. When he turned 6 months we took him to the doctors for his 6 month appointment and he weighed 16 lbs. 11 ounces and he was 26 1/2 inches long. I'm sure he weighs about 17 lbs now and is longer... he is growing like a weed! He just learned about 3 weeks ago how to roll over and he is rolling all over the place. If he sees daddy on the other end of the room he will roll to him so he can get to him. Its funny! Sometimes those stinkin walls or chairs get in the way and he gets mad at them. I think he said Mum yesterday. He looked up at me and said mum mum and then reached up for me. It was so cute! Jason thinks it was nothing but I think he finally said mum (mom). He just keeps getting cuter and cuter everyday. That is our family now! I hope you enjoy this and the pictures. We love you all!

Its been awhile since we have updated everyone on here! Jonathan is now 5 and a half weeks old! we weighed him on the wii fit and he is now 8 lbs 8 ounces! he is the cutest darn baby ever! He is up more and more during the day as well as at night! I love his big blue eyes he has! Jonathan had his baby blessing on April12th and he looked so cute! It was also his first Easter. We sure enjoy having him around.
In 27 days we are all moving to Redding, California for the summer. Jason is going to be working with Elite Security. He is going to be installing security systems. He refused to sell them so they wanted him to install them. We are excited about this summer... it will be an adventure! I just can't wait because Jason's job that he has now sucks and they don't treat him very well. He has only 20 days left till his last day and he can't wait. Plus any money is better then what we are making now. People just can't live off of 8.50 an hour. Then we are coming back to Twin Falls for the next two semesters so Jason can finish school. He was talking to some companies around here that are in his field and we are hoping next fall he will be able to work at a wood working place and then go to school at night after work. I can't wait for the summer though because then I will get to see Jason more often.
We got a letter from the Provo temple about our sealing and I can't wait till we can all get sealed together. It has been a crazy year and we have been through so much together. We went through some problems, Jason's brother passed away two weeks after we got married, we went through a crazy and rough pregnancy, we went through long nights, not seeing each other the whole day, my grandpa moffett passing away, and other rough times but we are stronger and closer because of it and love each other even more then the day before. We are counting down the days till we can be married forever and also be sealed with our cute baby! We love you all and hope all is well with you like it is with us.

This is the cutest

This is Jonathan Andrew Barfuss! He was born March 11, 2009 at 12:06 P.M. He was 6 lbs 3 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. He was 3 weeks early and one day before he would have been considered full term. Things went fast that morning! My water broke at 4:45 in the morning and I knew I didn't wet the bed since I went to the bathroom a half hour before that plus it was a lot! I tapped Jason on the shoulder and said, "honey I think my water just broke!" Jason said, "really are you sure you didn't wet the bed?" He told me to go and sit on the toliet and see if it stops but it didn't. All of a sudden I was cramping and I was cramping bad! We laid down and Jason timed my contractions. They were about 4-9 mins apart. I was in so much pain so Jason called the doctor. She told us to get to the hospital. Jason grabbed our stuff and we got into our rental car (Our car was in the shop) I realized my water was still coming like a waterfall! I was trying not to sit on the chair and get it all over the rental seat but it was hard. Jason grabbed a roll of paper towels we had in there and I sat on that. We get to the hospital and the roll and seat were soaked. I waddled my way inside and people in the entry way were stairing at us. a lady grabbed a wheel chair for us and said here it might help. We get up there and set up and tested to see if it was my water and sure enough it was... I sprayed the nurse! haha! then I found out I was 3 and a half centimeters. an hour later I was 4. then 2 hours later I was at 8 centimeters... it was coming fast! an hour later I was ready to push! i had my epidural shot and I was ready to push! I pushed for an hour and out came a beautiful baby boy! He had the cord wrapped around his neck two times so the doctor cut it fast and they got him breathing. they watched him for that day in the nicu then finally I got to hold my baby in my arms! He was ours and so amazing! i cried so hard because I was happy! I looked over and jason was holding him and loving him and crying! it was an amazing moment for us! I will never forget how we felt and what happened that wonderful day when Heavenly Father sent a beautiful angel into my arms and into our lives! We can not be any more happy then we are at this moment!

Sorry about the look on my face! Jason was making me laugh and hurt! This photo was taken today March 10th, 2009! This is an update on my tummy. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and more and more in my way! The baby was moving like crazy today and kinda bothering me while I did my homework. Its like he knew and he didn't want me doing it! I'm getting more and more excited as people can tell because I can't stop talking about it. I have been having dream after dream that I go into labor but I wake up and its nothing. One of these days I'm not going to believe it when it really happens. I go in on Thursday for another doctors appointment and they are going to do another stress test on the baby! My hips are hurting more and more and I feel like I'm going to fall apart! But thats life and I have to enjoy this now because I know next week it will get worse and the week after that! I'm so glad next week is spring break because then we can relax and I will have Jason home. Jason is getting just as antsy as I am. He is experiancing the "nesting" part of the pregnancy! Its cute!

I hope you all can see what I see! But here is an update on my baby and Us! Yesterday we went to get an ultrasound to see if the baby is doing good. Since I have been having problems and in a lot of pain and my blood pressure is high they want to keep an eye on me and the baby! Yesterday we got to see him and he is stubbord as usual! He kept kicking the thing that was on my tummy! Baby Jonathan was looking good though. The doctors were pleased with how he looked and reacted! when he saw the light he pressed his little chubby face against me! This picture is of his smashed cheek and his lips and nose and cute eye (Its a side view) I felt him press up against me at that moment my whole tummy got hard and his knee went right into my side. The doctor said he is about 5 lbs 11 ounces now! So if he decides to stay in until he is due he could very well be over 9 lbs. I have 3 and a half weeks till the due date and Jason was saying that next friday would be the perfect time to have him since the following week is spring break and he would get a whole week off from work and school! I told him I will see what I can do! But if the baby is really as stubborn as his mom and dad he will not come when we tell him to! He will come when he darn well feels like it! I'm just ready to have him since I hate all the pregnancy symptoms! the Doctors are preparing and so are we! We got his crib mattress today and we put the sheets and crib pad and blankets that we have gotten so far on the bed along with every stuffed animal that he has recieved! But we are waiting for the bumpers and quilt from Grandma Den Boer and then it will be complete... well the bed! I want to go out and buy some other things that we need and finish cleaning the room since I am ready for it to look like a baby room not a storage room! But thats what has been going on so far! This is what the crib looks
like so far! I also want to get little animal pictures
for the wall to decorate it a bit but I would have
to do that when Jason is not looking! He is a guy
and doesn't see a point in decorating it all cute!
But he just doesn't understand where I'm
coming from. He will love it when its all done though! He should be okay with it since I'm letting him keep his weight bench set up in there!
Oh well! I gotta love him! He is just so lovable!

My Baby shower in Rupert. This is all the stuff I got. Now I want to finish the baby room!

Jason was playing basketball on friday with his family and he stepped on the back of someones foot. He heard a pop and after that kept playing. It looks so much better. It was all purple/blue and his ankle was bigger then my swollen ankle. He is still in a lot of pain and is wearing a brace on it so it keeps it together! Ouch!!!

This is me today March 1, 2009. I'm so huge! I will try to take more pictures! 4 more weeks I'm so excited to hold him! It seems like he wants out so bad! He moves around like crazy. I was sitting in church today and my tummy was moving like waves on the ocean. The girl I was sitting next to looked over and giggled. He was a happy baby so happy he kicked me in the ribs. I am waiting for the right moment so I can get a good video of my tummy moving for all you to see! But it seems like he knows when I am trying because he stops moving. He is a stubbord child... I have no idea where he gets that from....Hehehe!

This was the last day in January 2009. Wow am I getting bigger! There is a little baby Roo in there!

My name is Nicole Den Boer Barfuss and I am finally getting a blog. To tell you a little bit about me and my husband Jason lets start off from the beginning. Jason grew up in a small town (to him) in Idaho called Rupert. I grew up all over but call home Coalville, Utah (smaller then rupert) We meet in Nov 2005 at the MTC on our way to serving the Lord. What better place to meet! We became instint friends when Jason "accidently" tripped me in the laundry room. We wrote each other almost everyweek and told each other stories of the mission. We talked about our successes and our hard times. We felt like we could connect and help each other since we were going through the same thing. I got home in April 2007 and he got home in Nov 2007. I dated off and on but when he got home we hit it off. Our first date was to the temple (best place to have a first date!) May 17th 2008 came and we were married to each other. What a great day that was! Now we are expecting our first child (baby boy) on April 2nd! Time is getting closer and we are growing closer. We will be sealed to each other this May and I can't wait for the day we can be sealed forever as a family.
