Bowling

The bowling ally on base did $1 monday's in august and we decided for family home evening to go bowling. It was fun! The kids loved it. Natali slept almost the whole time and got to bowl once but she was scared so it didn't matter. Jonathan got an awesome score of 38. He is an amazing bowler. It was neat whenever Jonathan's name came up the bumpers raised out of the ground and went back down when it was mommy's turn.

Chef Jonathan

Jonathan was not happy after church so I asked him if he wanted to make dinner with me. He was so excited! He kept stirring and saying I'm cooking the nasty food. He is so cute! He is going to be a chef when he gets older:)

Soccer anyone?

We thought it would be fun for Jonathan to put him in Soccer this year. Thursday was his first practice and of course I had to take pictures. so cute. his first game is this coming Saturday but he will be missing it since mommy and daddy will be attending the temple with uncle Kalen and soon to be aunt Megan. It was cute watching him kick the ball from one end to the next and trying to pick it up and throw it. Natali wanted to be apart of the team too. I told her she has to wait a year. next year she can do soccer or dance or whatever she wants to do. It will be fun:) I love my kids!

Fun weekend in Pennsylvania

 On our way to Pennsylvania
 Hershey chocolate factory
 Dutch wonderland Castle

The Chaplin at Fort Meade did a marriage retreat in Hershey, Pennsylvania this past weekend. We decided to go because they are so much fun. We did one out in Monterey and it was great. We drove up to Pennsylvania on Thursday morning. We went to lunch, checked into the hotel (free for us:), dropped the kids off at the day care they provided for us and then went to a class. We were given a great manual that had a lot of great stuff for us to help our marriages while being in the military since military life is super hard on the marriage. I thought it was great stuff for everyone not just military. After class they had a great dinner for us and then we went to the room to try and sleep. TRY is the key word here since our kids tend to not sleep in hotels. We told our friends if we look half dead in the morning its because we got 2 hours asleep. Sure enough we got a little more then 2 hours but not by much. 4 hours of sleep is hard! That next morning they had a huge buffet breakfast for us, more day care, more classes, then off to lunch and after lunch was reflection/application time where we take what we learned and apply them. We applied them at the Hershey Chocolate factory and museum. Then we went swimming! We had to practice the kids new swimming skills:) Then at 5:30 we dropped the kids off at day care so Mommy and Daddy could have dinner. They had an awesome dinner for us as well and we ate with our friends. as soon as I was done I got a call from the day care... Natali was screaming MOMMY, I WANT MOMMY! in the back ground. She told me she has not stopped screaming since we dropped her off. There goes date night for us. They were going to watch the kids till 9 so we could go see a movie but that didn't happen. We picked the kids up, went to the room and watched the newest X-men movie on netflix. It was a good time to spend with the kids but it would have been nice to go on a date. oh well! Saturday morning breakfast buffet, dropped kids off, more class then done by 9. We were out of there and off to Dutch wonderland. That was fun. It was made for kids 2/3-11 years old pretty much. it was a great theme park. I would recommend it to anyone with small kids. Jonathan rode on ALL except 3 rides. The rides are made for kids of all ages and the parents can go on with them if they wanted. Jason and I got to ride some rides with them which was fun for us as well. We were there till 5:30 just having fun. Jonathan didn't want to leave. This was their first time at a theme park or on any kind of rides. Natali was not much into it and cried when we went on the log ride but Jonathan was all smiles and in fact rode some of the rides 2 times. Anyway that was our fun weekend.

PFC to SPC

Ok well the pictures are backward sorry. So start from the bottom and work your way up. Ok so Jason's 2 year was May 24th. When you are in the military at 2 years you get a raise or promotion type of thing. Well they are kinda slow here and are just getting to him pinning. We did get the pay raise in May but to everyone Jason was still a PFC (Private first class). Finally he was able to be called a SPC (Specialist). YAY!!! So I was 5 mins late to the ceremony and I missed it. I was not able to change his rank or pin him. I was upset:( I was standing there watching the last 2 men get pinned by their wives. After the ceremony was over Jason's commander walked over and asked if I was here for someone that was being pinned. Just then Jason walked up and said they are here with me. The Commander told said he should have said I was coming and they would have waited for me. So they called back the flag holder and a few other people and made it official. they let me re pin him. I thought that was the nicest thing.

DC ZOO!

July 28th Jason's company took a trip to see the DC zoo. We decided to go with them. Free trip, bus ride down and back... YES PLEASE:) I was super sick so it wasn't the funnest of trips I had ever been on but an awesome zoo. I will definitely be going back to visit this zoo. We saw all kinds of animals and we even saw a T-Rex foot print and skull. Jonathan was in Heaven:) He couldn't believe there was a dinosaur at the zoo. I would recommend this zoo to anyone and the best part is it is free!!!
