YEP...More going on

Yep there is more going on in my life. I have been busy busy! first all my extra time has been consumed with preparing, planning, and making lists of everything I need for my 90-day food supply, my 72 hour bags for everyone, our get away bag (tent, sleeping bag, blankets, games, ect.) and also our emergency medicine kit. I also have been busy POTTY TRAINING Jonathan! yep thats right I am doing it. He is 2 1/2 now and I think he is ready. I took him to the store and He picked out his favorite cars big boy unders. He loves them:) then we took away his diapers and only use them for naps or for bedtime. I tried potty training him back in May and he was doing good then I put him back in diapers when we took our month long trip to Alaska and Washington. I didn't want to deal with it. BAD DECISION. we came back and he didn't want to have anything to do with the potty so I put him back in diapers and thought I would try again in September. 2 weeks ago I decided I am tired of spending $70.00 a month on diapers and more for wipes. I was done and we are going all the way with the potty training even if it takes forever. I was complaining to Barbara(my step mom) and my dad about how frustrated I am with the training and the next day Jonathan sat down on the potty and he did it he went #1 and #2. I was so happy. FIRST TIME #2 in the potty. We celebrated and got treats:) then guess what! He did it again right before bedtime. (happy mommy dance) The next morning we woke up and the first thing Jonathan said was potty. guess what... 3 days straight and he knows what to do. He still goes in his pants sometimes but he is doing so much better then before. OK next thing:) Natali my baby.. ok not a baby anymore:( she will be 11 months next week and she is so close to walking. She does so good and I bet she will be walking before she turns 1. Even though I don't want her to be walking because she is my baby I am going to keep helping her and teaching her to walk. so all this plus house work has kept me super busy. Jason started French in July and he is loving it. He just took his first test on Friday and he passed. Not only did he pass he got really good grades on it. A, B+, B, B. I am proud of him. only 5 more months till graduation. wish us luck:) love you all!

90-day food supply

Our bishop challenged us a couple weeks ago to get our 90 food supply together for our family before Nov 30th. AHHHHHHHH................. Yeah stress thats right! We had nothing! we had a conference for our ward one Saturday night where some people from the ward showed up and my visiting teacher talked about food storage. She gave us a ton of handouts on how to do it, how to make meal plans, how to budget so we can do it, how to can things like butter and cheese, etc. Anyway I decided to make an inventory of all the food I had in my food storage and the only things I really had was flour, sugar, noodles, and sauce. Yeah we could live a week on spaghetti and then we would have nothing. So I decided I needed a plan and I needed to get to work. I was stressed because we had NO MONEY!!! I couldn't wait till we got our paycheck and get some of the stuff on my list. I was feeling more stressed out because I was also trying to get together our 72-hour kits and also an emergency medicine kit. So I decided to make my list and watch for sales. The Monday after all this we got paid and I looked at the sales at save mart. I found cereal, fruit snacks and pop tarts on sale!!! yay! I went onto the Kellogg website and I found coupons for the cereal. In the end I bought $84.00 worth of groceries for only $39.00 yay! I was so proud of myself and that began my food storage. Last Saturday we had a yard sale (with the post wide yard sale) and made enough money to help us get more food to put in my storage. I am very happy with my food storage after only 3 weeks. I think we could survive a month now:) I know that everything that has happened to us the past few weeks have been a blessing. I know its not going to be easy but we were told by the Lord that we need to have our food storage together generations ago and I had nothing. So here we go. wish us luck and pray real hard for us. I know we can do it. The Lord will provide a way so we can accomplish this goal of ours.

Isn't it pretty?

Jonathan's newest toy

grandma Watson bought Jonathan a slide. When we got it and brought it out side he freaked out. He was so excited. He started grabbing stuff and looking around and saying hummmm... like he was trying to figure out how to put it together. it was cute. but as soon as we got it put together he was on it. his favorite part is the car wheel. he can drive:) oh and of course Natali needed a ride down the slide. She was not too sure after she went down. Now Jonathan has more then his bat and dirt to play with in the back yard!
