Fun weekend in Pennsylvania

 On our way to Pennsylvania
 Hershey chocolate factory
 Dutch wonderland Castle

The Chaplin at Fort Meade did a marriage retreat in Hershey, Pennsylvania this past weekend. We decided to go because they are so much fun. We did one out in Monterey and it was great. We drove up to Pennsylvania on Thursday morning. We went to lunch, checked into the hotel (free for us:), dropped the kids off at the day care they provided for us and then went to a class. We were given a great manual that had a lot of great stuff for us to help our marriages while being in the military since military life is super hard on the marriage. I thought it was great stuff for everyone not just military. After class they had a great dinner for us and then we went to the room to try and sleep. TRY is the key word here since our kids tend to not sleep in hotels. We told our friends if we look half dead in the morning its because we got 2 hours asleep. Sure enough we got a little more then 2 hours but not by much. 4 hours of sleep is hard! That next morning they had a huge buffet breakfast for us, more day care, more classes, then off to lunch and after lunch was reflection/application time where we take what we learned and apply them. We applied them at the Hershey Chocolate factory and museum. Then we went swimming! We had to practice the kids new swimming skills:) Then at 5:30 we dropped the kids off at day care so Mommy and Daddy could have dinner. They had an awesome dinner for us as well and we ate with our friends. as soon as I was done I got a call from the day care... Natali was screaming MOMMY, I WANT MOMMY! in the back ground. She told me she has not stopped screaming since we dropped her off. There goes date night for us. They were going to watch the kids till 9 so we could go see a movie but that didn't happen. We picked the kids up, went to the room and watched the newest X-men movie on netflix. It was a good time to spend with the kids but it would have been nice to go on a date. oh well! Saturday morning breakfast buffet, dropped kids off, more class then done by 9. We were out of there and off to Dutch wonderland. That was fun. It was made for kids 2/3-11 years old pretty much. it was a great theme park. I would recommend it to anyone with small kids. Jonathan rode on ALL except 3 rides. The rides are made for kids of all ages and the parents can go on with them if they wanted. Jason and I got to ride some rides with them which was fun for us as well. We were there till 5:30 just having fun. Jonathan didn't want to leave. This was their first time at a theme park or on any kind of rides. Natali was not much into it and cried when we went on the log ride but Jonathan was all smiles and in fact rode some of the rides 2 times. Anyway that was our fun weekend.
