January and February!

We came home from vacation and we were busy busy. Jonathan had is pre op appointment 2 days after we got home. He had to meet with 4 different doctors and dentists to get him ready and make sure he was physically about to handle surgery.
Sitting in the ENT chair waiting for his ENT doctor.
about 2 weeks after we came home I found out I was pregnant. Yep its true I am now 15 weeks along.
The kids are so excited! Natali wants a brother and Jonathan wants another sister to pick on.
January 25th Jonathan went in for surgery. Here we are in the kids waiting room watching cartoons at 6 a.m. in his cool hospital jamas and socks.
They took us back to prep him and so we can talk all the doctors and dentist and fill out the paper work, He found a cool hat on his pillow and was excited to wear it.
He was starving and my heart was breaking because he wanted to eat so bad and we couldn't give him anything.
 After surgery cuddling with daddy.
This is what he looked like that evening:( So swollen! The whole this was so hard for me to watch. I cuddled him as much as possible that day. He had a rough time coming out of surgery. I cried as I watched him failing and screaming. It was a rough recovery. It took 2 weeks and almost a week for him to eat and drink something. I had to threaten I would take him back to the hospital if he wouldn't drink something and he didn't like that idea so he drank some water. Scary and hard 2 weeks on Jonathan and mommy.
In February we took the kids to Disney on ice. they loved it!

Christmas 2012

It has been a few months since I posted our pictures. Sorry life has been crazy and busy and I finally can post. Here are the pictures of our Christmas vacation.
we had our little Dutch Christmas for the kids. They loved that.
This is Virginia on the day we left for the west. This is this kids first time EVER seeing snow in real life. They were so excited and wanted to play in it.
We did a fun advent for the entire month of December for the kids that had to do with Christmas. they loved it.
On our trip we had to stop at a bathroom and Natali thought it was cool the bathroom had a seat for her while she waited! haha
They both got gifts every time we entered a new state. Jonathan got pirate stuff:)
Stopped in New Mexico and played on the rocks in the warm weather.
Christmas morning in Arizona. We spent Christmas morning with Grandma and Grandpa Berezay. The kids were so excited.
Waiting patiently for the Great grandparents to wake up!
 Still waiting...
Next day we drove to Utah to spend time with Grandma and papa Den Boer. First time playing in snow...
 Ready for the snow...
On our way home we stopped in Nauvoo. It was amazing to be there. Hardly anyone there so we got our own personal tours.
We were close to liberty jail so we drove over to take another personal tour. What a spiritual and amazing experience.

The kids helping make a wheel in nauvoo.
While in Utah Grandma and papa took the kids to see the dinosaurs. Jonathan was in Heaven:)
We had a wonderful time visiting family.

The quiet books

So I decided to make the kids quiet books. We are taking a long long trip to Arizona and Utah for Christmas so we needed some stuff to entertain the kids. I have been working on this for the past 2 months. It has been fun but I am ready to be done. I am finished with Jonathan's but I still need to do some work on Natali's. Lets just hope I finish it in the next 3 weeks:) I will give you a walk through...
Page one of Jonathan's. I made a car that Velcros and Jonathan can also drive his cars on it as well.
The tree page has leaves and flowers to Velcro to the tree and they can put it in the grass pocket. The farm page. You can open the doors and pull the pig, chicken, and cow out and they are finger puppets.
The mail box page. I made envelopes and little letters inside and the kids can open the mail box and mail them off:)
This is the mr potato head. The basket has the parts and they can put the face on him.
Velcro numbers to help him recognize his numbers. also the shoe lace page. I need the lace still.
Here is a pond. The fish have a magnet in them and the fishing pole also has a magnet. they can go fishing:)
The boat has a zipper and the fish are velcro and he can put the fish in the zipper pocket.
Here is Natali's. A lady bug with a zipper. The dots can snap on and off and can be put into the zipper pocket. Also the Shoe lace which needs a lace as well.
Little girl with a basket of clothes that can be dressed. she also has the pond.
She has he barn and tree page like Jonathan
 Natali's mail box and letters
 Mrs. potato head
Natali get color pages. she knows her colors but to remember which one is which is hard for her. I am not done with the color pages. I will have the names and flowers with buttons that she can pull off.
Well I hope  they like it. they can use them for church and for the trip. I hope you enjoy this. Sorry they are not the best in the world but I have loved working with this project.

Christmas Tree

The kids are finally old enough to help with the tree. they had so much fun!

jamestown and williamsburg

Like many of you know I love history and every thing about it:) On veterans day the Active duty military and the veterans get some free things. So we took advantage of that. On that Saturday we went to the Great Falls on the boarder of Maryland and Virginia. If was fun and very beautiful! We got in free and also got a year pass for all national parks. So we can go hiking a lot in the Spring. that's what we are excited for. That Monday we decided to take a trip down to Jamestown and Williamsburg, Virginia. I loved it all!
